This blog post looks at the evidence for dysbiosis and intestinal permeability (IP) as a causative factor for autoimmune conditions like psoriasis development although it is questionable which comes first, the IP or the psoriasis. The involvement of streptococcus infection in the pathogenesis of guttate psoriasis is also reviewed. Although the research for the use of probiotics for psoriasis is limited this article explores which strains may be beneficial.
