Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), as a direct result of the escalating childhood obesity epidemic, is a significant public health issue globally. NAFLD is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in the paediatric population. The aim of this study was to assess the quality of evidence currently available for the use of microbial therapies (i.e., prebiotics, probiotics, and synbiotics) in the treatment of NAFLD in children with obesity. This study was a systematic review and meta-analysis of five randomised controlled studies. Results showed that although there is a range of promising effects on both clinical and biochemical parameters, significant interstudy discrepancies reduce reliability and generalisability of these results. Authors concluded there is insufficient evidence to support the beneficial role of probiotics and synbiotics in the treatment of pediatric NAFLD given the substantial degree of discordance amongst the available trials.
Abstract
BACKGROUND non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in childhood is an increasing global public health issue with significant long-term consequences. NAFLD management mainly consists of lifestyle modifications, however, adjunct pharmacological therapies are currently lacking. Gut microbiota manipulation via probiotics may alter the course of pediatric NAFLD. The objective of this systematic review was to synthesize all the available literature on the use of probiotics in children and adolescents with NAFLD. METHODS PubMed, EBSCOhost, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched for trials on the use of probiotics in pediatric NAFLD. A quantitative DerSimonian Laird random effects meta-analysis was performed when possible; otherwise, a narrative summary of the study outcomes was presented and discussed. A separate search was completed to include all the ongoing registered trials on probiotics use in pediatric NAFLD. RESULTS five randomized controlled trials met the inclusion criteria. Of these, four trials were included in the final quantitative analysis. Probiotic therapy significantly reduced the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) (mean difference: -10.39 [-19.85, -0.93]), however significant heterogeneity between studies was identified (I2, 93 %). CONCLUSIONS there is insufficient evidence to support probiotics in the treatment of pediatric NAFLD given the substantial degree of discordance amongst the available trials. Lifestyle modifications focusing on maintaining a normal BMI and regular exercise continue to be the gold standard approach to treating NAFLD in children.

Peanuts contain bioactive substances that are beneficial for cardiovascular health. This three-arm, parallel-group randomised controlled trial (ARISTOTLE) and meta-analysis evaluated the beneficial effects of high-oleic peanuts and peanut butter in improving cardiometabolic health. Participants in the randomised controlled trial consumed 25 g of skin-roasted peanuts or 32 g of peanut butter, or a control butter made with peanut oil without fibre and polyphenols for six months. The skin-roasted peanuts group showed a reduction in total cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol ratios. The meta-analysis was highly heterogeneous in participant ethnicity, health status, peanut intervention dosage and duration. The dosage of peanuts, peanut butter and high oleic peanuts used was between 25 and 200 g/day. The participants were healthy, with metabolic syndrome (MeS), or at risk of MeS. There was a significant increase in body weight among those with or at risk of MeS. In addition, healthy participants showed reduced triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol ratios. Healthcare professionals can use the results of this research to understand the beneficial impact of peanut consumption on the lipid profile. However, further robust studies are required due to the high heterogeneity of the included studies in the meta-analysis.
Abstract
UNLABELLED Although numerous studies have reported the protective effect of nut consumption on cardiovascular risk, evidence for the role of peanuts in maintaining cardiometabolic health is inconclusive. Presented here are the results from the ARISTOTLE study, a parallel randomized controlled trial evaluating the impact of regular peanut intake on anthropometric, biochemical, and clinical measurements. The 63 healthy subjects that completed the study consumed their habitual diet plus either: a) 25 g/day of skin roasted peanuts (SRP, n = 21), b) two tablespoons (32 g)/day of peanut butter (PB, n = 23) or c) two tablespoons (32 g)/day of a control butter based on peanut oil (CB, n = 19) for 6 months. In addition, a meta-analysis of clinical trials, including data from the ARISTOTLE study, was carried out to update the evidence for the effects of consuming peanuts, including high-oleic peanuts, and peanut butter on healthy subjects and those at high cardiometabolic risk. After a systematic search on PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library and Scopus databases up to July 2021, 11 studies were found to meet the eligibility criteria. In the ARISTOTLE study, lower total cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol ratios were found in the SRP group compared to the CB group (p = 0.019 and p = 0.008). The meta-analysis of clinical trials revealed that peanut consumption is associated with a decrease in triglycerides (MD: -0.13; 95% CI, -0.20 to -0.07; p < 0.0001) and that healthy consumers had lower total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol ratios compared to the control groups (MD: -0.40; 95% CI, -0.71 to -0.09; p = 0.01 and MD: -0.19; 95% CI, -0.36 to -0.01; p = 0.03, respectively). However, individuals at high cardiometabolic risk experienced an increase in body weight after the peanut interventions (MD: 0.97; 95% CI, 0.54 to 1.41; p < 0.0001), although not in body fat or body mass index. According to the dose-response analyses, body weight increased slightly with higher doses of peanuts. In conclusion, a regular consumption of peanuts seems to modulate lipid metabolism, reducing triglyceride blood levels. Despite advances in medicine, cardiovascular disease (CVD) still remains the primary cause of deaths worldwide. Many of the risk factors of CVD, such as elevated levels of blood fats, high blood pressure, abdominal obesity and poor blood sugar control, can be improved and managed by behaviour, lifestyle and dietary intervention as well as supplements. Berberine (BBR) is a plant-derived compound, available as a supplement, which has gained the attention of researchers due to its ability to modulate cardiovascular risk factors. This dose-response meta-analysis sought to generate a comprehensive overview of the effect of BBR on the risk factors for CVD in adults. The analysis included 49 randomised clinical trials. The results showed BBR significantly reduced blood fats such as total cholesterol, triglycerites and low-density lipoprotein (LDL). It also improved markers of blood sugar control such as fasting blood sugar levels, insulin, HbA1c, HOMA-IR and blood pressure and body weight, whilst enhancing high-density lipoprotein (HDL). The optimal dose of BBR was 1 g/day for triglycerides, total cholesterol, and weight loss. For insulin and HOMA-IR the best effects were seen with 1.8 g/day and for HDL 5 g/day. The most effective timeframe to impact fasting blood sugars seemed to be 40 weeks, and 50 weeks to influence blood pressure and waist circumference. In conclusion, BBR supplementation had beneficial effects on reducing risk factors for CVD, particularly in subgroups with impaired metabolic health. There was no substantial impact on liver enzymes (AST, ALT) or inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6). Furthermore the supplement was largely ineffective in people with normal body mass index.
Abstract
UNLABELLED Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major concern today. Herbal medicine is one helping way to control CVD risks. One conclusive of herbal medicine is Berberine (BBR) and converse about it still exists, to clarify this issue, this meta-analysis was performed. PubMed/Medline, Scopus, and Web of Science were searched for RCTs in adults on the effect of BBR supplementation on CVD risk factors up to July 2022. The pooled results showed BBR significantly reduced triglyceride (WMD = -23.70 mg/dl; 95%CI -30.16, -17.25; P < 0.001), total cholesterol (WMD = -20.64 mg/dl; 95%CI -23.65, -17.63; P < 0.001), low-density lipoprotein WMD = -9.63 mg/dl; 95%CI, -13.87, -5.39; P < 0.001), fasting blood glucose (FBG) (WMD = -7.74 mg/dl; 95%CI -10.79, -4.70; P < 0.001), insulin (WMD = -3.27 mg/dl; 95%CI -4.46,-2.07; P < 0.001), HbA1c (WMD = -0.45%; 95%CI -0.68, -0.23; P < 0.001), HOMA-IR (WMD = -1.04; 95%CI -1.55, -0.52; P < 0.001), systolic blood pressure (WMD = -5.46 mmHg; 95%CI -8.17, -2.76; P < 0.001), weight (WMD = -0.84; 95%CI -1.34,-0.34; P < 0.001), body mass index (WMD = -0.25 kg/m2; 95%CI -0.46, -0.04; P = 0.020), while increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (WMD = 1.37 mg/dl; 95%CI 0.41,2.23; P = 0.005). The optimal dose of BBR was 1 g/day for TG, TC, and weight, 1.8 g/day for insulin and HOMA-IR, and 5 g/day for HDL. FBG's most efficient time frame was 40 weeks from the beginning of supplementation, whereas DBP and waist circumference was 50 weeks. Metabolic syndrome is a condition characterised by at least three of the five risk factors, such as abdominal obesity, elevated fasting glucose, blood pressure and triglycerides and reduced high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c). There is a strong link between metabolic syndrome and the development of cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes. Research suggests that increasing consumption of flavonoid-rich foods can be beneficial in reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Flavonoids are bioactive compounds that possess antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous, anti-mutagenic, and enzymatic properties. This systematic review of 29 randomised controlled trials evaluated the beneficial effects of long-term flavonoid supplementation in reducing the risk factors of metabolic syndrome. This review included a variety of flavonoid supplements, such as anthocyanin, hesperidin, quercetin, epigallocatechin gallate (egcg), genistein, theaflavin, catechin, and eriocitrin. Additionally, this research investigated the mechanisms behind the beneficial effects of flavonoid supplementation. Results showed that flavonoid supplementation for at least three weeks improved metabolic parameters and inflammatory markers, with hesperidin showing the greatest improvements in metabolic parameters. Healthcare professionals can use these findings to understand the potential benefits of long-term flavonoid supplementation in improving metabolic parameters. However, more robust studies are needed to determine the therapeutic dosages of different flavonoids.
Abstract
Diets high in bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols, have been used to mitigate metabolic syndrome (MetS). Polyphenols are a large group of naturally occurring bioactive compounds, classified into two main classes: non-flavonoids and flavonoids. Flavonoids are distributed in foods, such as fruits, vegetables, tea, red wine, and cocoa. Studies have already demonstrated the benefits of flavonoids on the cardiovascular and nervous systems, as well as cancer cells. The present review summarizes the results of clinical studies that evaluated the effects of flavonoids on the components of the MetS and associated complications when offered as supplements over the long term. The results show that flavonoids can significantly modulate several metabolic parameters, such as lipid profile, blood pressure, and blood glucose. Only theaflavin and catechin were unable to affect metabolic parameters. Moreover, only body weight and body mass index were unaltered. Thus, the evidence presented in this systematic review offers bases in support of a flavonoid supplementation, held for at least 3 weeks, as a strategy to improve several metabolic parameters and, consequently, reduce the risk of diseases associated with MetS. This fact becomes stronger due to the rare side effects reported with flavonoids.

Obesity increases the risk of developing metabolic syndrome, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and associated comorbidities. Intermittent fasting (IF) and continuous calorie restriction (CCR) are fasting regimens known to reduce weight, which is at the heart of strategy in reducing obesity. IF and CCR restricts energy intake; however, CCR is harder to follow than IF. IF focuses more on time-restricted eating. This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the effectiveness of IF and CCR on body mass index (BMI), body weight, and metabolism in overweight and obese participants. This research showed that IF is significantly superior to CCR in weight loss in obese people. However, there was no difference in BMI between both regimens. There was a significant difference between IF and CCR for total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, and waist circumference. Further larger long-term robust studies are required to evaluate the effectiveness of different fasting regimens due to the high heterogeneity in this research. Healthcare professionals can use the results of this study to distinguish the weight loss effects between different fasting regimens.
Abstract
We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials and pilot trial studies to compare the effectiveness of intermittent fasting (IF) and continuous calorie restriction (CCR) in overweight and obese people. The parameters included body mass index (BMI), body weight, and other metabolism-related indicators. A systematic search in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science was conducted up to January 2022. Standardized mean differences (SMDs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to measure the effectiveness. Publication bias was assessed using Egger's test. The stability of the results was evaluated using sensitivity analyses. The significance of body weight change (SMD = -0.21, 95% CI (-0.40, -0.02) p = 0.028) was more significant after IF than CCR. There was no significant difference in BMI (SMD = 0.02, 95% CI (-0.16, 0.20) p = 0.848) between IF and CCR. These findings suggest that IF may be superior to CCR for weight loss in some respects.

Risk factors include hypertension, hyperglycaemia, obesity, and dyslipidaemia. Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that can potentially reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome. This systematic review and meta-analysis included seven double-blinded randomised controlled trials that evaluated the beneficial effects of Astaxanthin in reducing the risk factors associated with metabolic syndrome. More than eight weeks of daily ≤6 mg Astaxanthin supplementation significantly reduced systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol. The therapeutic value of Astaxanthin supplementation requires long-term robust research since studies included in this study are highly heterogeneous in terms of the intervention period, the dosage of the supplements, participant health, and sample size. This study can assist healthcare professionals in understanding the beneficial effects of Astaxanthin supplements on people with metabolic syndrome.
Abstract
The use of medication is effective in managing metabolic syndrome (MetS), but side effects have led to increased attention on using nutraceuticals and supplements. Astaxanthin shows positive effects in reducing the risk of MetS, but results from individual studies are inconclusive. This systematic review summarizes the latest evidence of astaxanthin in adults with risk factors of MetS. A systematic search of English and Chinese randomized controlled trials in 14 electronic databases from inception to 30 June 2021 was performed. Two reviewers independently screened the titles and abstracts, and conducted full-text review, quality appraisal, and extraction of data. Risk of bias was assessed by PEDro. A total of 7 studies met the inclusion criteria with 321 participants. Six studies were rated to have excellent methodological quality, while the remaining one was rated at good. Results show marginal effects of astaxanthin on reduction in total cholesterol and systolic blood pressure, and a significant attenuating effect on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Further robust evidence is needed to examine the effects of astaxanthin in adults at risk of MetS.

Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic non-degenerative disease of unknown etiology without effective medical treatment that mostly affects women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of mainly plant-based diets in patients with FM compared to omnivorous diets. A secondary aim was to examine the main effects of these diets on patients’ symptoms and the improvement in their quality of life. This study is a systemic review of six studies (n = 4 clinical trials and n = 2 observational cohort studies). The selected studies included 157 FM patients in both the intervention and control groups, and more than 117 were women. Results indicate that a mainly plant-based diet improves biochemical parameters and body inflammation; body weight, sleep quality, quality of life, pain at rest as well as other symptoms of FM and their impact on health. Authors conclude that even though their findings are promising further well-designed clinical trials are needed to consolidate these dietary recommendations in FM patient.
Abstract
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic non-degenerative disease characterized by the presence of multiple symptoms such as chronic pain, which negatively influence the quality of life of sufferers, most of whom are women. Currently, there is no effective treatment to limit the impact of these symptoms. The aim of this research is to review the scientific evidence on the effect of following a vegetarian or vegan diet on fibromyalgia patients. A systematic review included the original articles that answered the research question. These articles were in 2021 in the PubMed, Web of Science and Scopus databases. The research used the PRISMA (preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses) guidelines. No time restriction was applied, and grey literature was not included. The evaluation of the methodological quality of the articles was carried out using the following different scales: STROBE (strengthening the reporting of observational studies in epidemiology), PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database), and MMAT (Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool) scales. A total of 88 studies were analyzed, of which 6 investigations were included in this systematic review (n = 4 clinical trials and n = 2 cohort studies). These investigations show significant improvements in biochemical parameters, quality of life, quality of sleep, pain at rest and general health status when following mainly plant-based dietary patterns. In conclusion, these findings are promising but interpretation of the findings is limited due to the methodological quality of the studies. Well-designed clinical trials are needed to consolidate these dietary recommendations in FM patients.

Ultra-processed foods (UPF) are, according to the NOVA classification, “formulations of ingredients, mostly for industrial use only, derived from a series of industrial processes”. UPF represents an important and growing part of the world’s food supply. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between UPF consumption as defined by NOVA and health status. This study is systematic review with meta-analysis of all the cross-sectional and cohort studies published to-date. At the end of the selection process, twenty-three articles were included in the qualitative analysis and nineteen in the quantitative analysis. Results indicate the possible association between high UPF consumption, worse cardiometabolic risk profile (reported by an increased risk of overweight/obesity, elevated waist circumference, reduced high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol levels and increased risk of the metabolic syndrome), and greater risk of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease and depression. Authors conclude that their findings have important public health implications, especially for food policymakers who should discourage the consumption of UPF and promote fresh and minimally processed foods to improve health status.
Abstract
Increasing evidence suggests that high consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) is associated with an increase in non-communicable diseases, overweight and obesity. The present study systematically reviewed all observational studies that investigated the association between UPF consumption and health status. A comprehensive search of MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar was conducted, and reference lists of included articles were checked. Only cross-sectional and prospective cohort studies were included. At the end of the selection process, twenty-three studies (ten cross-sectional and thirteen prospective cohort studies) were included in the systematic review. As regards the cross-sectional studies, the highest UPF consumption was associated with a significant increase in the risk of overweight/obesity (+39 %), high waist circumference (+39 %), low HDL-cholesterol levels (+102 %) and the metabolic syndrome (+79 %), while no significant associations with hypertension, hyperglycaemia or hypertriacylglycerolaemia were observed. For prospective cohort studies evaluating a total population of 183 491 participants followed for a period ranging from 3·5 to 19 years, highest UPF consumption was found to be associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality in five studies (risk ratio (RR) 1·25, 95 % CI 1·14, 1·37; P < 0·00001), increased risk of CVD in three studies (RR 1·29, 95 % CI 1·12, 1·48; P = 0·0003), cerebrovascular disease in two studies (RR 1·34, 95 % CI 1·07, 1·68; P = 0·01) and depression in two studies (RR 1·20, 95 % CI 1·03, 1·40; P = 0·02). In conclusion, increased UPF consumption was associated, although in a limited number of studies, with a worse cardiometabolic risk profile and a higher risk of CVD, cerebrovascular disease, depression and all-cause mortality.

Age, sex hormones, diet, diabetes, obesity, and genetic factors are closely related to the occurrence of BPH. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of diabetes mellitus on LUTS in BPH patients. This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis of eighteen articles consisting of 1685 cases and 4653 controls. Results show that the International Prostate Symptom Score of the diabetic BPH group was significantly higher than that of the non-diabetic BPH group, indicating that diabetes mellitus may aggravate the LUTS of BPH patients. Authors conclude that LUTS in BPH patients is increased in patients with diabetes mellitus compared with controls.
Abstract
BACKGROUND Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease that causes lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), which are the most common urological problem in approximately one-third of the male population aged over 50 years. Some studies have suggested that diabetes may be a risk factor for the development of BPH. However, whether diabetes aggravates the LUTS of BPH patients is still controversial. AIM: To investigate the impact of diabetes mellitus on LUTS in BPH patients. METHODS A literature search was conducted using Web of Science, Embase, PubMed, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure literature databases. This meta-analysis was registered in PROSPERO (registration number: CRD 42020200794). Fixed- or random-effects models were used for analysis according to heterogeneity. The results of the systematic analysis are presented as weighted mean difference (WMD) with the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI). RESULTS In total, 1308 studies were retrieved from databases and 18 articles comprising 1685 cases and 4653 controls were selected for meta-analysis. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) value and prostate volume of BPH patients with diabetes was significantly higher than that of BPH patients without diabetes. CONCLUSIONS This systematic review is the first to evaluate the impact of diabetes mellitus on LUTS in BPH patients. The results of our meta-analysis support the hypothesis that LUTS in BPH patients is increased in patients with diabetes mellitus compared with controls, which suggests that physicians should pay more attention to BPH patients with diabetes mellitus. Effect of sleep duration on dietary intake, desire to eat, measures of food intake and metabolic hormones: A systematic review of clinical trials.

Adequate sleep is crucial to health. Yet, sleep disturbances have become very common in modern societies. A lack of sleep is linked to increased risk for several chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, appetite-regulating hormones can be disrupted by sleep shortages, which is thought to drive chronic overeating, leading to weight gain, obesity and its associated health consequences. This review examined the relationship between sleep duration and food consumption and energy intake, whilst also monitoring changes in body weight and appetite-regulating hormones. The review encompassed 50 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with 3387 participants, including 1079 children and adolescents and 2308 adults. The findings suggested that sleep shortages contribute to significant increases in calorie intake, fat intake, increased body weight, appetite, hunger, more frequent eating and bigger portion sizes. In this review lack of sleep did not change protein and carbohydrate intake. Nor did lack of sleep make people exert more or less energy overall, however, a variance amongst ethnic groups was observed here. There was not enough evidence for changes in metabolic rate, so the review assumed no significant effect. When viewed collectively, the appetite-regulating hormones of leptin and ghrelin, the stress hormone cortisol and the sugar-regulating hormone insulin were not significantly influenced by sleep duration. However, there seemed to be a wide variance of outcomes when looking at individual studies' results. In conclusion, the authors reiterated the importance of sleep for health maintenance, advocating for a minimum of 7 hours of sleep per day for adults and that, despite busy modern lifestyles, sleep optimisation strategies should be prioritised. Less than 6 hours of sleep per day increases the risk of health consequences, like weight gain and metabolic disorders and sleep management should be considered part of their treatment protocols.

Summary Review:
Introduction
Short sleep duration and disruptions to circadian rhythm have been associated with being overweight and obese. It has been suggested that sleep restriction may interfere with appetite regulating hormones leading to increased appetite and disrupted energy balance.
This study aimed to systematically review studies exploring the relationship between sleep duration and food consumption, energy intake, anthropometric characteristics and appetite-regulating hormones.
Methods
This systematic review included 50 randomised controlled trials including 3,387 participants.
Results
Energy intake
- 13 out of 30 the included studies found that short sleep conditions led to higher energy intake.
- 1 study identified that sleep restriction resulted in a 15.3% and 9.2% increase in energy intake in both women and men.
- 3 studies noted that prolonging sleep duration led to a reduction in energy intake.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Sleep, as well as diet and physical activity, plays a significant role in growth, maturation, health, and regulation of energy homeostasis. Recently, there is increasing evidence indicating a possible causal association between sleep duration and energy balance. We aimed to examine the relationship between sleep duration and food consumption, energy intake, anthropometric characteristics, and appetite-regulating hormones by randomized controlled trials (RCTs). METHODS Electronic literature searches were conducted on Medline, Web of Science, and Google Scholar until July 2020. The search was conducted with the following words: "Sleep Duration", "Circadian Rhythm", "Sleep Disorders" in combination with "Obesity", "Overweight", "Abdominal Obesity", "Physical Activity", "Energy Intake", "Body Mass Index", "Lipid Metabolism", "Caloric Restriction", Leptin, "Weight Gain", and "Appetite Regulation" using human studies.methods RESULTS After screening 708 abstracts, 50 RCTs (7 on children or adolescents and 43 on adults) were identified and met the inclusion criteria. In general, the findings suggested that sleep restriction may leads to a significant increment in energy intake, fat intake, body weight, appetite, hunger, eating occasions, and portion size, while protein and carbohydrate consumption, total energy expenditure, and respiratory quotient remained unaffected as a result of sleep restriction. Serum leptin, ghrelin, and cortisol concentrations were not influenced by sleep duration as well. CONCLUSION Insufficient sleep can be considered as a contributing factor for energy imbalance, weight gain, and metabolic disorders and it is suggested that to tackle disordered eating it may be necessary to pay more attention to sleep duration.
